Together let’s explore how we can deepen our relationships with other mindful men

Have you ever wanted to talk about what you were going through with the important people in your life but did not get the emotional support you needed? Was there also ever a moment you were together with your male friends and observed the characteristics of male posturing?

Some might call this “toxic masculinity” or “hyper-masculinity”. Others have named it as being a “socialized male” forged by the patriarchy. Additionally, men of color confront the dual challenge of dealing with systemic oppression and recognizing their own male privilege. This privilege manifests in behaviors that can overshadow our true identities and influence those around us.

How then can we embark on a journey to heal our masculinity amidst a culture that may not always be conducive to such growth?

Just like how the body needs nutrients like those our ancestors consumed, we also need social units that meet our genetic emotional needs.

Men need brave spaces where they can unpack their life challenges and have other men receive, acknowledge, and provide ways to support one another.

And that’s where I come in and provide creating that space for you…

This is Medicine for Men*:

• Renewal of meaningful and intentional brotherhood
• Sharing of vulnerability + intimacy in a confidential, non-judgmental space
• Incorporating tools for communication + listening
• Reconnecting with the intelligence of our emotional bodies

This is for you if you have the intention to:

• Slow down in this fast paced world
• Familiarize ourselves with our emotional bodies
• Talk about our private lives and get support from other mindful men
• Redefine your masculinity that’s in alignment with you

*This group honors and acknowledges the spectrum of gender, sexuality and non-binary identities as a part of the experience, and is only intended for for both cis-gendered men of color and trans-inclusive, including mixed-race folks.

**This group recognizes the impacts of patriarchy, misogyny, racism and other forms of oppression, however this is not a course, more so, an opportunity to develop a sacred container where these conversations can be had openly with each other in our shared experiences.

Sessions are held in a virtual space from Santa Cruz, California in Pacific Standard Time (PST).

Healing doesn't take place in isolation. Men who love and men who long to love know this. We need to stand by them, with open hearts and open arms. We need to stand ready to hold them, offering a love that can shelter their wounded spirits as they seek to find their way home as they exercise the will to change.
